The Salterton Drama Club

The Salterton Drama Club is an enthusiastic and well regarded theatre group based in Budleigh Salterton, Devon. We have our own theatre, The Salterton Playhouse, and stage four productions a year, each running for six performances, as well as an annual murder mystery dinner for around 200 people, and occasional one act plays for festivals. Soon approaching our 80th anniversary, the club has been growing in recent years, in both success and membership. The club’s commitment to staging high quality productions, whilst maintaining affordable prices has boosted our reputation as a fantastic community group providing great entertainment, and ultimately making theatre accessible to everyone. The Salterton Drama Club is a registered charity. No. 209536

We are sad to announce that we have been unable to cast our December production 'Season's Greetings'. With acting members dwindling it is becoming difficult for directors to find a cast for their plays.

With this in mind, if you have ever considered taking to the stage and having a go - however big or small the part - then now is the time to step forward. It really is fun! (We wouldn't do it otherwise!)

However it is not all bad news - we have been able to find an alternative production - which is the perfect oppurtunity for you to come and take part.

We will be doing one of our very popular 'RADIO BUDLEIGH' productions - where we perform in front of microphones, with scripts (no no line learning!), as if in a radio station broadcasting to the nation. And to keep with the festive spirit we have chosen to do the John Mortimer version of A CHRISTMAS CAROL.

Auditions for this will be held next Tuesday 12th September, 19:30 at the Playhouse.

A Facebook event with more details has been created for you to register your interest and contact us should you be unable to make it.

We look forward to hopefully welcoming some more of you to our theatre soon.
